Driver CPC training modules 2 and 4
The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is a fairly recent qualification and is a legal requirement for any professional lorry, bus or coach driver. With us, you can obtain your CPC qualification by undertaking our excellent CPC training and completing your examination.
Here at McMillen Driver Training, we offer training for two CPC modules: modules 2 and 4. The 5-day course, which will include the required 35 hours of training, will cover a variety of topics ranging from health and safety to customer care and fuel efficiency principles (only if you have completed module 2 and 4).
CPC module 2
Module 2 is predominantly computer based. In this exercise, you will be given seven case studies, based on real-life situations that you are likely to come across in your career. The aim of this exercise is to put your knowledge to the test and see how you would react if the situation arose in practice.
Here are a few more details about the CPC module 2:
- 6-8 questions
- Possible maximum score of 50
- Pass mark of 40 for PCV test
- Pass mark of 38 for LGV
- 90 minutes to complete the test
CPC module 4
Module 4 requires you to demonstrate knowledge in a variety of areas, including the prevention of criminality and the security of the vehicle and its contents. The five questions within the test are based on the driver CPC syllabus and emphasis will be on your knowledge of aspects within the syllabus. For example, you may be asked to point out relevant parts of the vehicle or demonstrate the use of relevant parts of the vehicle.
With each question equalling 20%, the pass mark for this test is 80%. However, at least 15% must be scored in each question to achieve a pass.
